I was recently informed that I could become a fan of my church's "Mother's of Preschoolers" (MOPS) group on Facebook even though I don't have a baby or one on the way....since I apparently have a "fur-baby" aka Finnigan. So I've got to do a little bragging cause he is so darn cute!!

I've been entering him in a contest to be in Martha Stewart Living Magazine. They'd better pick him!

Jason won a basket/toolbox at a silent auction last week. He gave Finn all the insides and wrapping & he loved it!

I bet you can guess who cleaned up all this mess!

Finnigan had so much fun with it though!

It's a life of luxury, I know :)

Jason stuck him up here. Not too sure about this.

We let him out on our balcony sometimes. Isn't he just adorable!

My cousin, Stephen, told me there is no such thing as a cute cat...but I told him Finnigan is above the rest. See, he's even into cylcing like you are, Steve!

Finnigan really likes to play with Little Guy

Little Guy is oblivious to Finn most of the time.

A New Look

I've gotten a little tired of some of my decorating and
a solution came through my front door just yesterday!

This wall over our bed was seeming more
and more "cluttery" to me.

Jason came home from his aunt & uncle's (the cabinet makers) last night with some new doors for me! Just what I needed! A fresh clean look! (Finnigan supervised to make sure I hung them all level and evenly spaced :)

Also, I ran into my sister at Hobby Lobby yesterday while she was buying some burlap.
Look what she made for her apartment with some cabinet door frames I'd passed along to her!

Family Photos!!

I've wanted to blog for over a week now! I have new pictures to share!!! But I've told myself no blogging until some things are crossed off my to-do list! Finally today I got a couple tasks done that I've been putting off, so enjoy!!

Last Satuday, April 11th we had the pleasure of having our family photo's taken- both sides! We did Jason's family first thing in the morning and I am SO PLEASED with the results! Then at the end of the day we got my family all together and had our photo's done too!

Our photographer was Brenda Horan:
She was FANTASTIC!! Thanks, Brenda!

Jason, Andrea, Kevin, Diane, Bob, Michelle & Chris

I love this one because Brenda had everyone but me kinda lean over on their elbows- so I'm not SO terribly short compared to the rest of the family!

I LOVE this one of Jason's parents with us kids in the background!

Jason's sister, Michelle, and her fiance, Chris

I LOVE this one too!

the guys

I never really realize how long my hair IS until I see it in a photo!

And then we move onto my side of the family. Starting with my mom's parent's.  Brenda got some really cute shots of them!
My Grandma & Grandpa Ross, they will be married 60 years in September '10!

Grandpa Ross turns 80 at the end of this month! We are having a birthday BBQ for him next weekend!

Me & my sweet sister, Vanessa

Not that I'm biased or anything like that, but I have the world's best parents!

Brenda's grand idea...hanging me by this giant hook and swinging me. We never got to the the swinging part cause I was laughing so hard. AND there is a restaurant next door to this stairway and like 15 people came out of the restaurant and stopped to gawk! It was hilarious!

My daddy :)

Lil lovebirds, Collin & Vanessa

The whole crew...I'm super small in Jason's family and he's super tall in mine ;)

Dad & Jason each had to have a "welding" pic!

G'ma & G'pa with their granddaughters

Aren't they adorable!? Yes I know, I have the cutest grandparents ever!

Happy Easter

This is one of my favorite videos they show at our church!

"That's my King" by Rev. S.M. Lockridge

That's what Christ did definitively: suffered because of others' sins, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. He went through it all—was put to death and then made alive—to bring us to God.

Cake Balls

I'm a big Bakerella reader.
I've been drooling over her blog several months now and finally found the courage to try making cake balls! Enjoy!

1. Make a cake. I've made yellow cake and rainbow chip now for this

2. When cake is completely cool, crumble it up!

3. Add 1/4 can of frosting to the crumbs, I used cream cheese flavored. You will need to use your hands for this step to get the frosting completely mixed into the cake crumbs

4. Shape "dough" into bite sized balls and place on a cookie sheet. Each cake will make about 40-50 cake balls.

5. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for a couple of hours or overnight (my preference).

6. Melt a whole package of Almond Bark (white or chocolate) or colored dipping chips (available at Hobby Lobby or Michaels in the cake & candy section) as directed on the package.

7. Bakerelle also makes goregous cake pops, so I used the lollipop stick idea to dip my cake balls. I left about this much cake showing around the stick so the ball would come off easier. The stick idea works best when the dough is still frozen. If necessary leave the second half of the dough in the freezer while dipping the first part.

8. Another Bakerella idea. Let them harden propped up like this in a block of styrofoam. This prevents them from having a "pool" of  chocolate around the bottom of them when they dry.

Yes, they are delicious!

9. After removing the lollipop stick, I put them on a plate and then drizzle a little more chocolate on top for decoration :)

10. Ta-da! Cake Balls!
